Individualized Treatment Plans to Enhance Your Recovery 


At WPTI, we go beyond physical therapy to increase the effectiveness and speed of your recovery with an individualized treatment plan built on your evaluation findings. We incorporate your individual needs, goals and lifestyle to develop a customized approach to your care. Your plan will include exercises or activities at home, with or without equipment. If equipment is required we will try to utilize what you already have.

Below are just some of the medical conditions that improve with our Individualized Treatment Plans:

Incontinence Functional Training: Exercise, functional training and biofeedback to correct pelvic floor weakness. Bladder retraining to establish a more normalized schedule for urination. Core/strengthening exercises.

Osteoporosis: Strengthening, proper body mechanics, postural training, balance and coordination training, stretching, and education. Resistive exercise program to create bone growth.

Pre-Natal Conditions: Maternity supports, manual therapy, strengthening, stretching or postural training to counter pain or aching in the lumbar, thoracic or cervical spine and combat carpal tunnel. Design individual programs of exercise and positioning. Provide relaxation training and exercises for women on bed rest.

Post-Childbearing Conditions: Customized strengthening and endurance training, including the pelvic floor.

Pelvic Pain: Relaxation of the pelvic floor musculature, treatment of intra-vaginal and/or intra-rectal trigger points, connective tissue mobilization, lower extremity flexibility exercises, core/abdominal strengthening.

Low Back Pain: Core/abdominal strengthening, spinal mobilization, body mechanics training, posture re-education, lower extremity flexibility exercises, myofascial release, and trigger point release.
